phases_emThe Lincoln County Office of Emergency Management is a division of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office. Emergency Management is tasked with preparing and testing emergency response plans for the County and maintaining communications capabilities. This includes 911 systems, radio communications and dispatching systems, and additional backup communication systems.

Emergency managers are continuously engaged in the cyclic phases of emergency management; planning and mitigation, preparing for emergency, responding to and recovering from disaster is a constant process that never ends. Each year, plans have to be exercised and evaluated, and then revised based upon lessons learned from exercises or real-world response to events.
