Public Health offers Mantoux tuberculin skin testing for $20 at the Public Health offices. The skin test is an injection of tuberculin purified protein derivative (PPD) into the forearm. The test is read between 48 and 72 hours after placement and checked for a reaction. If there is a positive reaction to the TB test, Public Health has access to the Wyoming Department of Health TB Program support in order to help you find resources to manage a positive reading.
We place tests Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and require an appointment to be made for TB testing.
We also now offer Quantiferon Gold blood draws for tuberculosis as well. The cost for this service is $40 and is only done on Mondays by appointment.
