NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION
SOUTH LINCOLN HOSPITAL DISTRICT
LINCOLN COUNTY, WY

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, according to law and the requisite action of the Board of Trustees of the South Lincoln Hospital District, that a special election for the District will be held on May 8, 2018, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., at which election there will be submitted to the qualified electors of the District the following proposition:
“Shall the South Lincoln Hospital District increase the District’s mill levy from the current three (3) mills to four (4) mills, to continue to provide funding to support the South Lincoln Hospital and Nursing Center?
The District for the purpose of the election shall constitute four (4) polling precincts. The precinct boundaries shall be those established for general elections by Lincoln County, Wyoming and on file and of record with the County Clerk of the County. You must vote in the Precinct in which you reside. The election district and precinct numbers and polling places for the election shall be as follows:

Only qualified electors of the District may vote on the proposition set forth above. The term qualified elector includes every citizen of the United States who is a bona fide resident of Wyoming, the County, and the District, has registered to vote and will be at least eighteen (18) years of age on the day of the election. No person is a qualified elector who is a currently adjudicated mentally incompetent person, or who has been convicted of a felony and his/her civil or voting rights has not been restored. A literacy test shall not be imposed as a condition to voting in any election. The last day to register to vote in advance for this election is April 23, 2018. Otherwise, voter registration is permitted at the polls on the day of the election.
Absentee ballots will be available in the County Clerk’s Office through May 7th (NOT on Election Day). Ballots may be requested over the phone (877-2021) or in person. If you are requesting a ballot for someone else, we must mail the ballot to the voter or you may bring a note signed by the voter giving permission for you to pick up the ballot for them. You may take your ballot or vote in the office. Absentee ballots must be returned to the County Clerk’s Office no later than 7:00 P.M. ON ELECTION DAY to be counted.
